im talking about OEM firmware.

should help you find what your currently running, if the car has idrive.

other then that only the dealer could tell you, although im not sure if the BT tool tells you - it might..

You can find this in the OBC, regardless of whether or not the car has iDrive. You need to get into the hidden menus to see it though, so start the car and press/hold the trip reset for about 10 seconds. The 6th menu should be software version; it's labeled "SW".

I'm not sure what the latest version would be for an E90 330 though.
