Thunking noise while braking in reverse
So here is the problem: When my car is in reverse (with the wheels turned) and I hit the brakes, I hear and feel a thunking noise almost directly below the brake pedal. The odd thing is that this does not happen first thing in the morning, but rather after the car is warmed up. Does anyone know what this could be?

I have same thing but it only happens once initially. If I go forward and then reverse again and brake it doesn't happen. My brakes squeal too when reversing and braking sometimes but I had a brake job done recently so I think they just need some more time to wear off. I think the bushing clunk would happen once you start rolling backwards and forwards.

Thanks for the replies everyone...the car is still under factory warranty, so I will definitely be taking it to the dealership for service. I'm thinking it's the bushing also; my old e46 330i had a similar thunking problem a few years back, and I am almost positive my SA told me that it was the problem.
