bmw performance intake install, had to use a vacuum!

I installed the perf intake today and right under the intake there were tons of sand & small rocks on the rail...had to bust out the vacuum

also cleaned up the entire engine bay

Right now I've the perf exhaust, perf intake....next week will install the PBX

Your car looks good! Are those LCI headlights you have there? If not how did you clear the tail lights? You have all the mods I eventually want to have.

not LCI, they're CF wrapped internally

I have the Dinan Ram Air, Performance Exhaust and the PBX. You will see a difference.

Yup, it's the intake resonator. The only other vehicle that I know of utilizing a silencer is the Subaru WRX STI.

the rocks and dirt is so bad due to the scoops! that hole is the intake silencer, if you were to bypass it, it would sound like an old civic with a cone filter lol

Yea, the water hole of the intake box is located right above it. Most of the sand is coming from the intake box but some of those rocks are way too big so I don’t think they’re all from the scoops. BMW design the box deep with a hole at the bottom so water and sand can escape…pretty cool
