330i exhaust teminology clarification

I am new to the forum, so some of the terminology is confusing. I am considering the muffler delete option, however the discussion about the resonator delete has me confused.

I have attached a drawing of the 330i exhaust. I don't see anything labeled as a resonator. When you are discussing the deletion of the resonator, re you referring to #1 in the drawing, center muffler?

No, the cats are farther up. #1 is the resonator/center muffler.
