Drivers door pull creaks II
Well I am almost to my one year service and I have a few things that need to be addressed. One of them is the drivers door pull. (the place where you put ur hand to close the door) I seems to creak every time I close the door. I can hear the door handle plastic flexing so I am sure thats where it coming from. I do not slam by doors and I am the only one who drives the car so its not being abused! It does not seem to be temp. dependent but its worse when its warmer out. I just wanted to see if I would have any luck at getting it fixed by the dealer and if I am an isolated incident or its a common problem.

^^ I think it is just grease that needs to be on the hinge, they use a lithium based white grease if I am not mistaken, I have this on 3/4 doors as well as a backwards seal on my pass. seats.
See my thread about seals if you want to see it.

Mine did until the dealer replaced it, so I don't know how to answer the poll.
They only replaced the actual handle part that you grab (I complained that it was peeling), not the whole armrest, and I had to prove to them there was an SIB for it before they were willing to do anything. |
