Looking to buy a 328i or 335i coupe

Hey, i'm looking to buy a 328i or 335i coupe with roughly 60-80000 km is there anything i should look out for in each model? Would buying a 335i with almost 80 000km and no warranty be a good idea? Looking to buy from the Dealer auctions? Any input appreciated. Thanks

I personally wouldn't buy a 335 without warranty. With the money you'd save at a dealer auction, I'd consider purchasing an extended warranty for the vehicle through BMW.

Don't buy any car from an auction unless you use the money on the side to fix it. Don't buy a salvaged car as a DD either! It may look nice but it was salvaged for a reason. If you are buying from an auction, it means you are buying it cash. Take that money, go to a dealer, put down a small down payment and use the money you have left over for your monthly payments.

I'd be more concerned about the cars history and service records rather than warranty and mileage.

Thanks for the suggestions. By the way I'm getting it from a BMW Canada lease auction, where dealers buy off lease cars.

I agree. Probably would need a warranty for the 335. I would risk it with the 328 (so long as you know how to DIY).

If you buy the 328 just under warranty have it thoroughly inspected by anyone other than BMW and have BMW fix whatever needs fixing; for free of course.

make sure that travesty of a seatbelt handler works smoothly and if you have ANY doubt, get it inspected and fixed before you sign anything. If buying from a dealer, try to negotiate some warranty coverage specifically for it. It's only a matter of time before that thing breaks. And it WILL break during the lifetime of the car.

DenverJayhawk how do you like your 330i? i found a good deal i think $23500 for a 2006 330i 39 000 km with sports pkg. Considering the vehicle, since it has alot of standard features, that 328i sedan or coupe don't come with. Having a hard time finding a 328i coupe with power seats and sports pkg.

quick question, if we have CPO is everything done for free? such as brakes, wipers and so on anytime or can only get them done at certain intervals?
