Humming sound!! Help!!!

so starting this morning I've noticed a humming sound that gets louder with speed... I left the car for the day and when i got back into it at night it had the same problem... i also noticed that it starts after 50km/h (30mph) and when decelerating from high speed the sound goes down. I just got new tires and havent put more than 3,000 km on them yet... and they are OEM 19" Runflat

Anyone know what could be going on??? Thanks

I think it may be your wheel bearings, as you indicate it gets louder as you accelerate. Is it coming from the rear wheels?

If it is your wheel bearings, it will progressively get worse so you should probably get it looked at soon since it is covered under warranty. I had this issue in the past and it was covered.

I also have the 19" Style 230 OEM wheels with Bridgestone run flats and although they are slightly noisier than the OEM 18's, it is not that bad.

I think it is likely your wheel bearings.

Wheel bearings in modern BMWs are really not prone to failure unless damaged by a hard curb-rash event. The OP doesn't say if the noise comes in truns or in a straight line (I'm assuming straight line). I think it is just the new tires breaking in. I remember the day I picked up my new car and drove it home on a curvy road, I thought the wheel bearings were bad. But after a few thousand miles the tires broke in and the noise went away. Give it some time.

Also, check if they mounted the tires in the correct direction. If the tires are mounted backwards from the tread rotation direction, it could cause the noise.

It is the wheel bearings! My driver side wheel bearing went bad about 6 months ago.
