Get stock brakes again or get performance brakes?
Just wondering how much more it is to get performance brakes compared to stock brakes? Someone quoted me something like $250 for stock. How much are brembos for 2006 330i? Or is it worth considering anything other than stock?

The BMW brakes are up to the caliper of any performance brake you can buy for a reasonable price pretty much. The only reason I would change would be to reduce brake dust.

Usually, if you have to ask, you probably don't need an upgrade :P the stock brakes are very good for a daily driver. The only caveat is that they dust a lot. you may want to look into a "low dust" pad if that bothers you, but typically, lower dust = lower performance, so be careful. There are also some street performance pads out there, but unless your are currently getting brake fade or having problems, you won't be able to realize much of the benefits of such a pad. and since you asked, the brembo front brake kit for the 330i is about $3,400. |
