I think both are the same. The only difference being the modified one has the guts punched out.

I'm just curious because I have a CDV from a M3 and wanted to see the diameter difference between it and a 335/328 one before I do the swap. Looking through the M3 one I really don't see anything in there to punch out? The rumor is the M3 CDV is wide open and less restrictive.

I would like to see if there is any difference.

From what I recall when I replaced mine 2 years ago, the stock CDV has a needle sized hole. My RR modified CDV has a larger hole of say, like a medium sized nail.

"E92 M3 does not have Clutch Delay Valve (CDV):" http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153462 And to those who want a pic reference of a stock e9x 3 series CDV to a modified one: Stock: Modified: I would think it's best to go with a modified CDV *just in case* a dealer ever decides to look at your CDV because they are identical e9x 3 series parts from the outside. |
