Performance Exhaust *TEASER*
Hey guys! A few weeks ago I posted up pictures of my car in the photo media gallery section right after my car wash. A few people commented on how nice my monaco blue looks but there were a few comments about how my car was bone stock. So to change all that I've decided to pick up the BMW Performance Exhaust!!! I was on my way to get it installed and snapped a few photos and video! I will have the full video of before and after up in a few days if not hours! Enjoy!

Sometimes i wonder if that muffler for the performance exhaust is the same as the OEM one...just without a resonator. lol

muffler body looks the same. i'm sure the internals are different though.
videos of a resonator delete with the stock muffler definitely do not sound like the bmwp exhaust.

That's just the thing! I got this installed and I was chatting with the guy asking if the other bmw's that he's done is as loud as this. He said you know the major difference I can see is the resonator delete with pretty much a stock muffler. It won't be loud at all. I told him, oh good, I want it to have a bit of punch and stay classy and not be super loud like those civics with 4 in mufflers. When he rolled my car up in neutral I was a bit shocked to not hear the exhaust at all. I got in the car, sounds stock...then I hit the gas to exit the parking lot...OH BOY !!!!! I had to look around and double check to see if it was someone elses car! Videos will be up later guys!

Congrats. I LOVE my BMW PE. My favorite mod to date...hands down. Cold morning starts are pretty damn loud, but in a good way. The burble note as you feather the gas pedal sounds great also. And of course, as you already found out, above 3000 rpm...
PS: I am glad you chose this as your first mod. Most members here (including myself) went with the cosmetic mods first. But for me, the PE gets me the most excited about driving my car everyday.

Congrats on your exhaust. You will love it!
The only thing I hated was how far the tips stuck out. I had that taken care of the very next day. See my thread if interested. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=350586

also, what is the weight difference between stock and performance exhaust? Since they look very similar, is there a weight reduction? especially with replacing the pipes going to the muffler, wondering how much weight is taken off, if any

don't mean to threadjack but how does your exhaust sound now Juan? I remember reading that it wasn't what you expected.
