insect died inside my instrument cluster

This little guy is starting to bug me. I want to remove the glass from the instrument cluster to get at him. Is it as simple as unscrewing the two torx above the cluster and removing the glass? Or are there other steps involved to remove the front glass?

Thanks.

That would piss me right off too.

There's a DIY here for people replacing the needles in the gauge cluster. Check one of those DIYs, it might have some information on removing the plastic.

that sucks...i had a dead insect in a taillight from my old car...that pissed me off and i never really looked at it...i can't even imagine how annoying it would be to stare at it every time i looked down at my gauges...hopefully it'll be an easy fix for you...if you're still under warranty I would think the dealership would help you out

I see that you employed little bugs to add more horses and one failed on you.

He is free now and not hard to get him out.

unfasten the 2 torx above the cluster.
Pull the cluster out.
The cluster is a 2 piece design. Dismantle by loosening the snaps.
Pull apart and get the little bugger out.

Funny thing was while I had the instrument cluster out, my left headlight stayed on even though the car was powered off. Upon putting the cluster back in it turned off. Anyone know why? A fault perhaps?

Other people have random bugs in the cluster and what not too.

I have a dead one in my tail lights. It had to have been when the tail lights were made since it's sealed.

I had one in my tails as well. Blacklines fixed that problem.
