wait a minute fruition, I think i may be able to translate this for you!
I think he was trying to say : Hello fellow e90post members, how are you? I need help with my car. It is a 2006 325xi. Somehow water got into the the ECU and apparently my computer has burned. I've checked the value of an ECU for my vehicle and it retails for over 1500 USD! I took the liberty of trying to resolve this situation myself, therefore i opened up the ECU compartment. I've come to the conclusion that a particle of the ECU has burned. Is it true that each E90 ECU is unique and is specifically designed by the vehicle's identification number? And I have heard that there are universal ECU's for much cheaper. Is this true? Please help me resolve my dilemma! Yours Truly, daniel_e30

He wants to know if the ECU is car specific or if there is a generic one that would work.
