Arma... The Saga Continues
Well guys, as some of you know - Im not one to quit easily lol
I have been dealing with Arma for months now, and first and foremost, they agreed to give me good pricing on the kits, including stage 2. but pricing is worthless if nobody has seen a moving, working car in the US with proper dyno testing and a long road test. So, its time. I am donating my car to science and the BMW performance gods, and will be taking the leap for forced induction. I will be doing the full stage 2 kit. an entire build log will be done and posted along with the road testing, videos and stills. its going to be a very long process, but by the end of July I hope to have everything in my hands and up and running. I will keep you updated as things develop, and update this thread. post up questions and if I have an answer handy I will reply ASAP. We are in the pre-stages, I dont even have the kit in hand yet, but know that its coming to the US and I will be logging everything and will release pricing info once its good to go. |

cool... but if it takes too much custom work... i doubt many people would jump on this...
nonetheless, i'm glad somebody has taken this step

It shouldn't take any custom work according to Arma, just hours of bolt on a running the fuel management wires. they say its about 6-9 hours install time.
we will see, hopefully they send me the manual this week so I can post it up and show you guys what they plan |

What's the price range they're trying to sell it at now? That 12k deal was bs so it'd be interesting to see how much they were willing to come down. Btw I'm talking our price, not the special price that they'll give u for donating your car for testing which should be amazing given how long u won't have the car.

Yup. Our price is what I'd wanna know. Not trying to be a jerk about it but I just wanted to clarify my question. It'd be cool if they gave it to him for free like RR did to that 328 guy bc they used his car for testing and stuff.

Please keep us posted! And thank you for contributing this precious information to us. If the pricing / gains are reasonable, I'm sure there will be people who'd be interested in FI-ing their N52s (myself included).

Yea i know! Its frustrating haha , Just ask him you will be test runner for there product as well just to "confirm" Craven's results so further prove credibility of there product! haha Than I will jump in and further prove your two results from a Canadian perspective to gear towards a Canadian market with two other proven good results which will make his product more attractable in a different market making there company a "international" company with "real test results" ! hahaha

but. im going to be working on that too, i still think its too expensive to justify for a mass market. and after i install we will see how easy it is, they say its a DIY kind of thing, but im not too sure if the average joe could pull it off in his woodshed.. |

Well my part of the Gintani tune is done, just waiting for them to figure out the figures and get the compatibility fixed.
the headers - weekend project not a big deal, and the O2 sims are already made - just need to install them in my car when i get the headers in for final tweaking then everyone's orders ship out so i will need a new project after all of this, and like i said the Arma stuff is a month out. |

Someone should custom fab a supercharger kit for cheap using spares and see if Gintani can do the programming for it

Gintani specializes in making superchargers. They had some pretty serious M3s (from e36 to e92) and a supercharged e60 M5 as well when I went down there.
