Heat shield

Hey I have a cold air intake but im not satified with my heat shield. Does anyone Know where to buy one or do any of the venders sell heat shields? thanks

Get a vented hood. No matter what heat shield you"ll get there's a limit. My 2 cents

That is $$$, and takes away from the factory look that some people desire. I'm not bashing you, I agree 100% a vented hood is the way to go.

aFe has a heat shield I believe. If you already have one go to Home Depot and get some insulation stuff for windows and doors, the thin adhesive kind and cover your existing heat shield in it. A member here has done it and it worked perfectly. Also I recommend getting scoops since they increase air flow.

put the insulation on the top or underneath the heat shield? never heard of that... does it really work?
