lol yea if u want any type of forced induction u are looking to spent 10k+. A member on here is about to try a supercharger kit from ARMA, we can see how that goes but other than that the only forced induction u r going to get is if u trade up to a 335

you can get an exhaust whistle... those are so sweet. people will think you have a turbo... which is 10x better than actually having one.

no. Sorry, you don't own an 86 Accord anymore. Try looking here with starting mods. . .

There is no turbo, nor a proven supercharger at this time.

I kinda came to a revelation this morning while driving. Since BMW is moving their mainstream engines over to FI, what will many of the BMW tuning companies focus on minus further refining the FI capabilities of the N20, N55, and other engines?
From talking to a friend of mine who does tuning, he states there is no greater challenge in safely FI'ing an N/A engine. With that being said... I have a feeling that we will see at least 1 or 2 tuning companies build FI solutions for our N52 engines in the near future. Financially, its too tempting not to pass up. It's just a matter of a tuning company taking an old N52 engine (can get for cheap), and testing out the tolerances before engine failure. Or it could be nice if we could actually get the detailed engine specs from BMW as I am pretty sure they tested out FI with the engine.

Thats all huh? The issue with these kits is that they need to sell lots to recoup the 50k+ I'm sure they would spend making it. There are definitely less people willing to buy an expensive turbo kit than there are people willing to trade it in and buy a 335i. I honestly don't see it ever happening. |
