I just got the message and the light came on, im thinking its my HPFP but im not having long cranks, and its definantly not limp mode because i just turned it on.

What do you think? and can i still drive it to work tonight?

Could be HPFP, injectors, how far is work? I'd see if you can grab a loaner, dealers are open Saturdays

Weird, but the code has been thrown, but you'd obviously clear it in the process of removing your mods. Drive carefully I guess

just drove it around the block, set my JB3 to map 0, drove the car pretty slow not getting above 3500 rpm, and nothing came up, this is so weird!

has anyone ever heard of this, ive read so many threads about HPFP its ridiculous, but ive never read one like this.

To clarify your initial post, you were having loss of power but where not showing half engine light/limp mode?

ok, sorry if the first post wasnt very clear, i was in a rush to get it on here so heres exactly what happend.

I turned on my car, backed out the driveway and started driving at about 20mph, the Half Engine Light came on, and it said Engine malfunction loss of power! I dont know if there was really any loss of power because i only drove about 200 yards home and didnt accelerate.

Then about 10 minutes ago, i drove it around the block and nothing came on, this is just really weird.

That is odd, hopefully it was nothing. Were it me, I'd just be conscious of it, don't make any moves that rely on swift acceleration (IE merging, left turns) and play it by ear. If you're on map 0 maybe just remove altogether, that way you won't have to clear any codes if it happens to throw another.

Limp mode clears on turning off the car and turning it on again. Whether it comes on again is another story.

is it likely to happen? and Im not sure why limp mode would come up, its a 2008 sport package, it has an oil cooler.

Ok, thanks for the advice, ill probably take it to the dealer monday after removing the tune and see whats going on.
