New Res Delete Pics

I got my Res cut off this morning. I had heard of the Y mod, but my shop did something different. it is very similar but different. So, I figured I would share with yall. For those of you out there who are thinking of deleting your resonator with either a RE Ikon, Top Speed, or Remus... absolutely do it. I love the new sound. It is a tad deeper, yet still classy for daily driving through town. However, when you stand on it, it growls like a machine. It is perfect.

They are terrible quality, but what can ya do with a cell phone these days. Its no droid, it doesnt do everything. And it apparently doesnt want to send the 2 pics of the res delete on the actual car... so as soon as those finally decide they want to send to my email... I will post them up.

I was going to delete my res with my Top Speed but my installer recommended against it because the muffler is basically straight through. It did get louder/deeper but not much of a growl I would say.

I would go ahead and delete it man. It sounds better, and the Res doesnt really do much with backpressure. The res when you look through it is hardly anything minus a little lining. and you save about 10-15 lbs...

and yes, the Busch, a must have. Cracked into them after I attempted to do the angel eye install, but it got too dark, and I said screw it until tomorrow.

So its a dual, and right before the muffler they slam the other pipe into the single inlet?

Garage List
Does anyone know how a resonator delete with the stock muffler would sound and if it is worth it?

True duals would be sweet on our cars. You could do this by running the dualls all the way to a dual inlet/outlet magnaflow. Maybe I should give this a try instead of using my single in, dual out magnaflow?

There is a video of it in the exhaust sticky thread... it doesnt sound any different than stock. The res really doesnt do that much unless you have something aftermarket, or a muffler delete. In that case it makes it a little deeper, and a tad bit louder. It also isnt worth the labor cost to delete just the res on a stock muffler, unless you do it yourself. I recommend getting some sort of muffler and delete the res with it all at once. You will lose a lot of weight too, thus giving you "power"...

my 2 cents...

I would have used a "Y" pipe in reverse to merge the two pipes together, but other than that, it's not bad for a quick and dirty resonator delete.
