Need help deciding what colour I should paint my rims..
Okay so I can't for the life of me decide what colour to paint my rims, it's either going to be Black or White but that's as far as I can decide.. I would just like e90post members opinion on what would look the best..
And as far as Black and White option goes, this is what I've come up with.. 1) Completely black w/black lip 2) Completely black w/white lip 3) Completely white w/white lip 4) Completely white w/polished lip (leaning towards this) MAYBE 5) Completely black w/black lip and a white time attack ring (hmm) Included a few pics to help you come to a conclusion Thanks all! Oh and here's an extra shot of my car and my friends Ninja, just thought I'd add it because it shows off the LUX so well in prime-time daylight! Thanks to namotorsports for these Last edited by BMW Fanatic; 06-24-2010 at 08:08 PM.. |

X2 on drop. I'm not sure any paintjob can save those wheels from hideousness (IMO of course) so I can't comment on what color to paint them

Doesnt look to good right now, do they make a paint that will make those things invisible?
Id suggest save the money on paint and post an add on ebay and then go get stock rims |

The wheels will look very good. Alpina does just fine making similar wheels look incredibly tasteful on BMW's.
The car just needs a drop to make it look best, that's all. |

IMO, no paint for the wheels, just a drop for the car, and you'll be golden. |

They are more of a flashy type of wheel so if he were to paint them, were it me, and were I going for that flashy look, I'd definitely do white with a polished lip. After a drop, if I still felt like painting them.

So don't comment at all. He asked about painting, not whether you liked them. Why do people have to piss on someone unless they ask?

I would say maybe gunmetal in the center and keep the polished lip. Its simple and classic.
I would also say a drop would be good, if its in your budget and/or local road conditions. It will also make the wheels look a bit bigger by filling the fender gap. Out of your choices above I would say a matte black center with the polished lip. Skip painting the wheels white at all costs. They will be a SOB to keep clean. -Good Luck.
