Meg's 105/205

So long story short - I got my car back after a tint job and was in a rush home so I didnt get to full inspect the car after they were done. I get home and I noticed a very huge and disgusting "pretzel shaped" scratch mark on my JB trunk!!

I was ready to call the place back and tell them what had happened, and ask them to pay for the possible repaint - but before that, I went ahead and grabbed my PC7424, orange pad w/ Meg's 105 a shot first.

MAN!! that thing is awesome!! with just a few passes, the scratches dissappeared before my eyes! I was very skeptical that it would work, but I must say, this will be my go to product for my next detail. I'm more of a Poorboy's guy, but the 105/205 combo is really really nice!! Awesome results with very little effort/time!!

Just thought I'd share!

+1

My friend's dog jumped up on the right side of my car where the gas tank is and started scratching the hell out of the paint!!!

Started off with M205 on a white pad just to see what could be taken out then had to move to M105 with an orange pad and they were gone!

Great stuff!

It cracks me up with some detailing snobs don't consider M105/M205 because they are Meguairs products.

I think it's because it doesn't cost enough, is too widely used by people that refuse to fork over more money then needed and of course "you get what you pay for".

I should take m105 and m205, repackage it in a fancy bottle 1/8th the size or a much more industrial looking bottle @ the same size and then increase the price by 200%. Yeah, here you go. You're gonna get what you paid for.

Totally agree.

It's funny because someone borrowed my M205 and I had to get Meg's SwirlX which worked really well! Got it at Salvo Auto Parts.

Yup-Ultimate Compound is essentially the consumer version of M105. It'll definitely do the job and SwirlX is more or less the equivalent of M205, though slightly more aggressive-according to their chart.

Here's a great breakdown:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1404703

And comparison between the products:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1404730

Both great OTC products!

Detailed Image and Detailers Domain carry 105/205. Both are board sponsors and outstanding places of business.

I recently purchased 105/205 from them as well since they had the 8oz bottles. The 32oz bottles will last me years and it will go bad before I use it all up.
