Pics of my new coupe

Finally prised myself out of the driver's seat to take and upload some pics. Even managed a bit of sunshine!

The reflection in pic 3 in the very shiny window is the sales guy, not me!

Thumbs up

so sweet... love the combo!

but why do they call it a 330?? in the US it's a 328 or 335.

i assume it is equivalent to our 328 since technically its a 3.0

Thanks for the thumbs up! I'm really pleased with the colour combo.

Not sure about the number designation but I'm sure someone on here will know the answer. I do know that the the 335i has the twin turbos. Presumably the 328 is equivalent to the 330 as you suggest.

The E92 330 is a different tune of the N52 engine. The engine puts out about 272hp in the euro 330 versus our US spec 328i's 230hp. This is the same engine/tune as found in the MY07 X3 3.0si. Their 325i is actually (remains) closer to our 328i. Btw the E93 will debut a new family of N53 engines with DI.

In US, BMW NA thinks too many choices will confuse us.

Europe has 318 (some markets), 320, 325, 330, 335, plus diesel variations. US gets 328/335 only.

Have you ever looked at the reverse image of something and thought "That just ain't right?" I bet people who drive right sided steering wheel cars think the same about us. Anyways... AWESOME Car! That's a cool option to have the 330i with ~270HP.

Great choice Rockit. I'm thinking of going for something very similar (and hopefully get my order in this week for a bit of end of year negotiation!)

Just out of interest - how are you finding the sports suspension? I'm debating whether to go for it. I'm definitely having the 18" wheels like yours, but am wondering whether the Sp Susp will shake my many fillings out!!

Hi Slaz

You won't regret buying one of these babies! As far as the sports suspension goes, I don't find it a problem. One or two passengers have mentioned that the ride is firm, but compared to my previous car it's really not an issue for me. Sharpens the handling up nicely as well!

The E92 looks gorgeous in Space Grey.

Coral Red is certainly different - I'm not sure it would be my choice, but I can see that it looks quite special. Nice spec too - 330i manual, enjoy...

328 and the 330 are comleatly diffrent the us 328 is a very downtuned engine to handel the low octane fuel americans use so only 235 hp 330 is the normal european engine which has 258 hp (05) 265hp (06) 272(07) which basically means there all mainly 265hp on dyno never go by the book it LIES

Rockit is your coupe missing floor mats? Must admit I was a bit shocked at the price of them, considering on the Z4 they were a standard option.
