Gintani Tune- Who's done it?
I'm on the fence on this.
It would be nice to get some realworld feedback on this. Who's done it? Who's done it who previously had a BMS.. I know you guys are out there |

Not too many people have done it so far cause the EZ flash isnt out there. Once it comes out, I am getting it. and will write up a good review of it. Craven assures me it will happen soon haha so its only a matter of Gintani getting it together, Craven is working hard for us to make it happen.
other then that... I think e90 pilot has it done. and Craven also said it 10X better than the pbx. I cant wait till I can install it.

The PBX is a solid entry level tune that makes power and is reliable, for a great price. the BMS guys have it down. where this differs is the fact that the PBX is a signal manipulation and thats about it. The Gintani/OE tune is a full valvetronic tune, that we are able to adjust all the parameters of the engine, and transmission (along with anything else controlled by the computer) so we can adjust timing, fuel, rev limits, valve lift, and many more items to make more power then the PBX will, so if its a HP battle - yes we win over the PBX - but as you can see the PBX has a working module lol so they are +1 on us there at the moment. |

yea, 10 times is a bit of an exaggeration. I love the pbx I have. cant complain what so ever. Would recommend to anyone. what I meant by better is it adds more hp and tq. both together would be awesome (throttle mapping only that is).

I thought the gintani tune provided throttle remapping. Isn't that a bit redundant then? I know u can stack them w/ pbx on throttle mapping only w/ no performance tune

yes but it isnt as hardcore as the PBX on map 3, its more like map 2 on the PBX.
So with a stack i could run the PBX on map 1 or 2 and it would equal out. |

OE and Gintani are the same thing.

Dude you are trolling like mad.
Craven what would be the difficulty of upping the Gintani to make it equal the PBX throttle remapping to Map 3? Just a thought, that way the stack would be completely unnecessary.

You mean stacked them? Or just the PBX? Because theres tons of stuff on just the PBX now.

i'd love to hear him chime in. i'm sure the tune is great but it'd be nice to hear from someone other than craven on their experience on the gintani tune. i still plan on getting it after i do either headers or 330intake manifold to make the cost of the tune worthwhile. till then i'm sticking w/ my pbx

Just a question. How exactly does the PBX tune work. I understand tuning but it doesn't say exactly how. Does it allow more fuel in? Does it fool the computer into thinking it just started? I'm new owner of a bimmer and interested in exactly how this pbx works.
