Read this thread and if you want more information you can search the forum for alot more information about intakes. But this has peoples option on the oiled and dry intake.

I suggest going with DRY personally, you don't lose that much more flow vs. oiled and you don't have to deal with recharge kits and reoiling it or risking MAF contamination. Plus DRY filters better.

I have the oiled one and I think it works great. Havent had any problems yet or had to re-oil. But dry takes all that worry away,

I think aFe is the best bang for your buck. You are getting a high quality filter element that will last longer than an OE paper filter as well.

The aFe Stage 2 Intake System is a great choice and is definitely one of the best out there for your 2007 BMW E92 328i. I would personally go with the oiled filter as it does produce more airflow - thus creating more power gains! You can see a comparison below.

AFE Pro Dry S
50% air flow over stock (This would be like comparing a panel filter to OEM panel)
99.2% filtration

AFE Pro 5R (oiled)
75% air flow over stock (This would be like comparing a panel filter to OEM panel)
98.6% filtration

I have some great deals going on for all you E90post guys. I'll shoot you over a PM with more details

Good decision, the dry version is easier to maintain.

I hv a AFE Stage 2 oiled for my 328i coupe, however, im in search of a stock air intake air box with the built in charcoal filter attached. My vehicle has the N51 engine its the SULEV version, I did a charcoal delete on the stock air box and realized the AFE and the charcoal delete are not compatable with my engine because of the emmissions. I have to go stock with a K&N drop in. Im willing to trade your stock box for my AFE, will send Pics of the AFE installed. I cleaned and re-energized the cone filter sunday. Let me know if you are interested
