325i vs. 330i & Sprt. vs. non-sprt.

I've driven both the 325 and 330, the 330 is obviously quicker, however on paper it's only .6 sec's faster than it's lower powered brother, perhaps it comes down to torque? Any other differences?

What are some of the differences you guys have noted w/ the sport package vs. non sport package models in terms of driving, namely feel? Obviously the car rides harder, but I noticed a difference in that sport pack equipped cars feel more, a lot more responsive than the non sport cars even thought the std. non sport cars are quite responsive already?

I may sound redundant, but I ask just to gather thoughts and opinions...

I can only talk about my 2.5 litre 325. It is terrific. But I think you already know that. The sports suspension is great , lowering the car 15mm to give it great handling and a HOT look with the wheel arches close to the tyre tops - but not too close!

Also running your e90 on high octane (tuned for 98 RON) fuel will offer better performance than on the minimum recommended 91 RON.

The 330 you get bigger brakes, xenon headlights and the extra horses. I tried the 330 stock and I was impressed, but I was more impressed with the sport package. Drive them all and see what fits.

I wish 98 octane fuel was available here in the states it would be all that I would buy! Sadly the highest I can find is 93

I started using high octane fuel in 1992 for my E36 that was tuned ONLY to that RON fuel. It was 95 RON then a few years leter, upgraded to 98 RON.

All the name brand petroleum outlets here have a 98 RON fuel

I use Shell Optimax (98 Octane), which cleans out the engine too.
The car seems to run smoother on it and is even quieter. I worked out that the extra miles per gallon you get out if it actually compensates for the slightly higher cost.
