eXtremeSpeed track event @ Streets of Willow, July 31st & August 1st

For all the track junkies, there is a new organization called eXtremeSpeed Track Events. They're having their 1st event at the Streets of Willow on July 31st and August 1st. Is anyone going to this event? Here's the link, http://www.extremespeedtrackevents.com.

I know the guys who are putting on this track day - great guys and they put on great track days! I plan on being there to help with instructing & doing a classroom talk as well.

Hmmm. Haven't done a SOW day yet...

Might be the last event before new tires.

Cool, you do the talking, and I'll help on the in-car instructing (if I go). Most likely, I'll be there on Saturday only.

I'm going to really try and make it out for this event. I'd love to get some instruction from others who have more way more knowledge and have had seat time in the 3 series before. My only hesitation is im already signed up for Buttonwillow that same Sunday. Not sure if i can handle SOW on Saturday and BW on Sunday.

Not sure. If we leave Alhambra by 6:30am, we'll be there close to 8am. Are you thinking about being there earlier? If so, then I'll have to meet you at the track. I have to feed one of the twin girls and get her to sleep before I can leave the house in the morning.

Gates generally open between 6-630 am at most tracks.

It was a nice day for track, and a good showing of BMWs. I think there were 9 BMWs. It was nice to meet all of you too; Mitch (Mitch1er), 330MX (Matt), Jason (not sure if you're on here), and Steven (don't know if you have an E90post screen name), and nice to see Jeff (J Tyler) again. I had to leave early since I promised my wife that I would be home by 4pm. So I only got 2 sessions in. It was still good since I haven't been on the track since last November. Anyway, I didn't have a transponder because there were all out. Fortunately, I had videotaped my sessions. So I used the stopwatch and got my lap times that way. It's not accurate, but close enough. My best lap (which wasn't quick enough) was approx. 1:32.9. I think 1:30s is possible had I have more time on the track. Maybe next time. Here's the video of that 1:32.9 lap.

Matt, too bad you weren't there on Sunday, the CCW configuration is much better for drifting!
