What benefit, if any, do air scoops have for an N/A 328?

Any benefit performance wise? I currently have a BMS powerbox, and BMW performance exhaust and air intake with 19" 199 black painted BMW wheels with low profile tires.

Thanks for your input.

Scoops really dont add much. I have the scoops, which i paid $40 dollars for mine from Craven w/MMW. Spending over $100 is not worth it. If you want them I would contact Craven he is on my friends list. But the AFE Scoops are not worth the price. If you are really insteaded in them I can get you picture of the $40 ones so you can see what they look like.

I feel like it would direct fresher air to the intake, however it didn't produce any noticeable difference for me personally.

They help force more Air into the intake and give you more HP. But if you have a Performance Intake then it will just help it more. But you will not notice the HP increase. If you are going to Performance Intake then you will notice the HP from the intake. That is why it's not worth spending more then like $40 for scoops.

If you also search the forum there was a thread about this I think it was a month ago and alot of conversation.

These are the scoops I have for $40. And there is people selling them here and you can see there is two holes for mounting them. Which is better then the AFE Scoops i think.

Ive got them as well. Dont think they do anything until high speeds, 80mph+

sure they are something to get and youll think it adds power just cause you bought them... but in reality, probably not. save your money, and add them as a last mod if you run out of options.

They do nothing.

You would probably have to be driving 150 mph to notice any difference.

Scoops are good for scooping more bugs into your air filter.
