323i vs 325i Horsepower

From what I can see the 323i and the 325i both have the same engine. The N52B25, 2.5 L displacement.

The 323i version has ~180HP, the 325i has ~215hp.

So what is different that the 325i has about +35hp?

Or asked another way; how do I get 325i horsepower from my 323i?

hopefully someone more knowledgable can chime in here, but if I'm not mistaken you'll want to look into the Gintani tune and 330i manifold swap.

My bad...the European 325i has 2.5L @ 215HP, the US spec is 3.0L @ 215HP (2006).

I have the 2007 323i, it has the stage III manifold and 200HP stock.
after a flash you can get around 220 to 240hp from it. Headers give around 10whp.

Well on the 2006 model 323i it's missing the internals for running a euro 325i flash. You need the Stage 3 Intake. In europe the 325i 2.5L is running a free flow primary cat.

I did the Carbon filter removal and it made it alittle louder then normal. I like the sound. It gives it more throaty sound.

I actually noticed more of a sound change with the AFE filter over the stock...noticed the throttle response change when I removed the carbon filter.

I am on the fence for replacing the whole airbox with the Euro Airbox. Thinks that are stopping me is;
- Increased noise? Still want my car to be fairly quite
- Any real increased in performance, over AFE + Carbon Filter delete?
- Even fit on my car?

I think I am going to wait for some other people to give it a go, before sinking ~$400.
