Road rash on rear fenders

Got tired of the gravel chipping the front of the wheel well on the rear of my M coupe and stole an idea from a Porsche I had a long time ago. Cut the wheel guards for a 911 and put them on the M. If they get bummed up I can peel them off or if I get tired of them but I don't think they look too bad

It looks bad, i hate old cars that had shields there.

If you have extra bits of clear bra, you could do something like that without it being so obvious.

Hey, drbvac, if you see a AW M Coupe on PEI in a couple of weeks give us a wave.

We're headed down for a couple of weeks, mid August.

Just my opinion but the black just doesn't suit. Definitely clear bra or nothing.

drbvac, you may have the only other IR coupe in Atlantic Canada.

IM red coupe

Probably - they only made around 350 06M and 1200 07's and as roughly 10% of them are red there are darn few in NA !

Z3M's have these black guards on them - I think they came from roadster solutions or something like that...

BTW - including BMW Corporate cars < 200 (187 I think) Z4MC's ever came to Canada through BMW Dealers. Mine was the first registered customer car and had 4 others with it on the rail car.

Would have been! An IB was on its way to BC and a Black stayed here in TO. The Black is for sale at Marenello... can't remember the other...

Ruins the look of the car. When I installed my freshly painted aero side skirts, I just had a reputable tint/clear-bra shop (Bellevue Accutint for those of you who are local) put the 3M clear bra film on the side skirts for $100 per side. It's already saved me a few times from having to repaint the side skirts.

I used the clear bra material and covered my entire aero side skirt on each side.

cheers,

This mod is a total eye sore and should be used as an example of what not to do. No offence.

It just looks plain wrong.

VentureShield™ made by 3M is what you should be using.

I did my entire hood, front bumper, roof, front quarters, head lights and side skirts with the stuff.

You cannot even tell it is on the vehicle, which is the whole idea in the first place and I have never had a stone chip.
