PBX and Disconnecting battery

Anything in particular that should be done when disconnecting the battery if you have a powerbox? Map settings? So that one would not have any lights showing once the battery is reconnected.

if the car needs programming? What do you mean?

You do not have to disconnect the battery to install the pbx. just have the car off and follow the instructions. Slap it on, and drive the heck out of it on map 3. nothing else.

If you put it on map 0, its untraceable by the dealer. is this what you mean? You cant "program" a pbx anymore than it already is.

if it goes in for service and they need to do programming or disconnect the battery. will the pbx on map 0 set off any warning lights to the dealer?

that is my question.

No, the PBX when set to map0 is not detectable because map0 just passes all signals right through as if it isn't there. Disconnecting the battery doesn't reset the PBX to map3 or anything so it will remember map0. The only way for a dealer to find the PBX when it's set to map0 is to physically go in and check your ECU compartment. If you're still worried, just remove it before taking it in for any service.
