Car in for service - 2011 328ix loaner

Car's in for service at BMW store as we speak.

Got a fresh 2011 328 ix as loaner. Only 900kms on it

First time i have driven a LCI e90 - not bad...little slow of the start, prolly the xdrive.

Couple things that got me...don't know if anyone cares, but those side mirrors..like DUMBO ears!

Then i was looking for the button to fold those things in...no power folding mirrors on a premium/exec/nav 328?

other than that..feels the same, looks the same interior wise...still like mine better

It should have power folding mirrors, my 2009 does with the same options. There should be a small circular button on the window/mirror adustment panel on the driver's door.

Yah I was looking there, just like on my 325. Unless it moved spots. Didn't see it

Could be for '11 model BMW cut the power to save costs?

Just like the ashtray cover, plastic sunshades, etc?

My '09 has it

Well returned the 328 today.

Morning commute into Vancouver to compare the drive. Seems like the 328 drove a lot more "cushy" supe soft on bumps & turns and such.

Comparing non-sport e90 to non-sport e90 LCI, i found definite difference in drive. New ones drive like smooth family car, not the sporty sedan it's supposed to be.

Even double checked the wheel/tires to compare. I though the loaner could be on 16's...but it had 17 with RFT.

Got mine back and seem to appreciate the older e90 a little more now

No offense, but I find it hard to believe they "softened" the non-sport suspension on the E90 LCI. I think people tend to over-analyze or "think" differently when they pay special attention to a change (i.e. getting a loaner car).

Agreed.

I have the Bridgestones as well (although probably 2nd or 3rd generation), and honestly they're pretty good!

LOL i got the loaner 328xi 2011 today as well. This one had like 4000km...didn't realize I had to sign a waiver and do a walkaround and put down the 500dollar deposit.

Anyway, I agree the non-sport suspension is less bumpy, but the interior doesn't look as nice, even though the xi had the nav package.

I thought it was going to be as easy as last time, when they gave me a loaner 135....now that was fun

Maybe I got the same 2011 328xi loaner from BJ last month it came to me brand new with 40km....it was an automatic so it was definately a cruiser and not the same sporty drive as my 6 speed manual.

Jessel makes u put down a deposit for a loaner? Isn't that what insurance is for?

I was at BMW store for service. They were really nice and kept me updated all day on the status of my car. I like the service and parts area lots of drinks and snacks!

Try the valet service....they pick up your car from your house leave you a BMW loaner and they drop it back at your house when all the service is done
