PBX and Warranty: any horror stories?

Just curious, I've read through countless threads about how people have installed the PBX and went to the dealership without having a problem (whether map 0 or another map).

Anyone install it, and go to a dealer and get some problems / questions / a warranty voided?

PS: anyone in dallas willing to help install one for $$ or pizza and beer?

Here is what I think, You need to find a dealer that is mod friendly or a friend at a dealer that doesn't worry about that stuff if you are really worried about warranty issues. You can also just take the powerbox out when you go in for a major service. My buddy has a friend at a dealer, so when i talked to the dealer he knows i have the car modified and said if something goes wrong just be prepared to take the mod off if it's not BMW Performance and then they will check for service.

But if you are going to mod just try to stay with BMW Performace if you can. I have the BMW PE Intake and my friend is modding my BMW Stock exhaust. So everything has BMW name on it, so I don't have to worry about the Warranty issues.

As far as the Power Box, they really should go in the ECU unless you have a problem, that is why you set it to Map 0 as extra protection.

And at the end, if you are really worried about the warranty don't touch the car until the warranty is up.
