HELP: issue after removing PBX
So I went to install my pbx today, everything seemed to go okay, started right up after the install (error-free), after a few trips I was getting an engine malfunction error, so decided to remove the PBX and return to stock and deal with it later.
So after returning everything exactly how it was in the ECU (pins restored to original locations, PBX removed), I am getting these errors: Any ideas???? Looks like brake pads, ABS, and DSC... ANY help would be appreciated. Not really sure what the issue is, hopefully not something that requires a dealer reset. Thanks. EDIT: problem solved, the errors just disappeared when I was enroute to the dealer, so I turned around, reinstalled the powerbox, and everything is working great. Must have been a procedural error on my end. Many thanks to Mike@N54Tuning and Terry Burger for their excellent customer service along the way. Last edited by jjoseph7; 08-13-2010 at 12:30 PM.. |

are you 100% sure you put the wires back correctly?
Did you snap in the locks and make sure the Plugs are secure? do you have comfort access? |

Yes I am, I tripled checked everything.... all the pins are in their original locations and the main connectors are securely back in place along with their sliders, and no I do not have CA, and I had the battery disconnected each time I had the ECU connectors out.

Drop BMS a line with a link to this post, it might be a coincidence of other issues though, and not actually related to the PBX.
I had my entire DTC system short out before and it looked like that, which has nothing to do with the PBX |

I would be willing to bet one of the pins is in the wrong spot or it could be unrelated. Any codes?
Can you email us a photo of the subconectors. Mike Last edited by Mike@N54Tuning.com; 08-12-2010 at 07:52 PM.. |

There is 2 wires at one point of the install that are the EXACT same color wires--my bet would be you mixed those two up-they are very close to each other and are exactly same color (the wires in the ecu.not the pbx)--switch those 2 and see.
Unfortunately youll need a dealer visit to reset thrown codes-they are stored |

Thanks for the suggestion, i had actually just considered this. But any idea how I'll know that this was the issue? The engine seems to run normally I'm just getting these codes. If I swap the pins and still have the error, how will I know if it made a difference? I'm hesitant to swap anything since I'm basically 100% certain everything is back where it was. Thanks |
