Hey great thread, lets use it to list all performance mods for the N55.
we can get someone to update the sticky.

Juiced46 confirmed fitment for the AMS exhaust.
I'm sure other exhaust for the N54 will fit the N55- just need confirmation.
as soon as someone test fit one we'll update this thread.

I'll be testing out the Vanguard system, hopefully this week.

autowerks drop in is on back order... Order one and wait about 3-4 weeks... Exhaust systems for the 335's seem to be compatible as well (ie N54 exhaust works on N55), or do a custom job.

BMS is betaing the JB3 for the N55
Vishnu... Well, who know's when they are going to release the harness and firmware update for the PROcede... Taking too damn long

I've already ordered to HP Autowerks drop in for my N55 X5 and working on a custom exhaust system... Haven't decided which muffler to use though... Magnaflow, Aero Exhaust or Dynomax... decisions, decisions.

It'll take some time, but I'm sure someone will figure a way to get an FMIC from the N54 to work on the N55, atleast from the 335 perspective... I'm going to helix on monday to test fit the N54'd 335 FMIC on my N55 X5 (wish me luck)

none
Not dyno poven though. I need to get a base line then go back.

And all exhaust fit. Downpipes are a different story since it is a single downpipe vs two.

AR design is looking for people with N55's to do R&D for a new Downpipe... If you got a couple weeks on hand, they most likely will fab one up for you, and provide you with a free product... They offered to do one of the X5 N55, but I can't let go of my car for two weeks... I drive everywhere for the military in it...

On a positive note, my goal is not to break this car like i did the last so the fact that I can't really mod it if I wanted to at the moment definitely helps

I never did a DP on my 335... Don't know if I will on the X5 either... I def know I need a Tune before I do anything though... I think the N55 is going to very heavily tune dependent in order for any other mod to make a difference... I know, I know the N54 is the same way... BUt I just have this nagging feeling, with shockin's experience with the MD, that the tune is going to make all the difference...

DPs are easily the best bang for your buck outside of a tune.. especially if you go catless. They are also the biggest b!tch and a half to install too.

I just wish Shiv/Vishnu would hurry up and get their beta going for the PROcede for the N55. Well I'm planning to help Beta the JB3... Since I can't get a clear cut answer from Vishnu.... Means my V4 makes a great paperweight at this point...
