Talking New dynos - Headers and MMW CS MUffler

Ok guys, I know it took a while but here it is:

The base line is my last tuned dyno, so we are measuring gains on the old tune from pure bolt on of parts, no retune on this dyno sheet.

Now I am currently running an updated tune but we didnt have the time to make the needed changes to finalize it, so im going back in next week. The new tune fixes that low spot in the mid, but we need to tweak it more before I post the numbers on that

so the old dyno is stock and the new ones are just headers and mufflers?

Correct, old numbers are the tune with intake and muffler delete.

New numbers are on the same tune while adding the headers and MMW City Sleeper Muffler

Im also on larger wheels this time, with close to stock size rims id show better gains.

peak numbers are not bad, but the mid gains are sick.

I am now running a NEW tune, but im not releasing the dynos for that until we fix a little low spot

Its not all about peak numbers, but I'd say most is headers exhausts don't do too much in general

The type of exhaust you have is not optimised for your N52. That’s why the figures aren’t as high as you want them to be. Just deleting the primary cats and keeping your OEM exhaust yields 15 on the wheel. I’m pretty sure if you had just headers and an OEM exhaust setup, you will be looking at a 15whp gain too.

My thread regarding the three-stage intake on the 323i.

Craven, you still doing a deal on them headers? Keep me posted!

Is it true deleting primary cats would get you 15whp on the 328? Who's done it? Can I pass emissions?

Hard to say, since it was over 100 outside on this dyno vs 70ish last time.

When its cold out or at night the car puts down much more power. I want to do a night dyno sometime to see how much.

The 3 stage intake sometimes gives rise to some odd flat spots near the transitions at 3250 and 4500 rpm. Look at various N52 dynos around the web and you'll usually see some of this. It's the price we pay for that wonderfully broad torque curve. I keep hoping that OE will figure a way to tune these flat spots out as my Z4 exhibits noticeable flatness at both these points. FWIW, the OE/Gintani tune didn't make these flat spots any worse in my engine - it just increased overall torque (as advertised) while leaving these mildly annoying features present as they always had been.
