2011 e90 Cornering Lights

I made an interesting discovery today when working on my car.

Replaced the stock sylvanias that control the flash to pass & angel eyes with some GP Thunders. These are within the e90's xenon lights.

After testing I made an interesting discovery... if the wheel is turned in either direction >180º the flash to pass light on the side in which you're turning turns on. I thought this was some sort of fluke or incorrect bulb placement, but when the wheel is centered it shuts off, and the other turns on for the opposite direction.

Up until now, I had thought when my turn signal was on this happened, but I guess it's when you turn the wheel.

Anyone else notice this... now that I noticed it, I don't know whether I like it or not.

Thanks I know the bulbs... Just didn't realize the function until I installed the H8s that I just got from you!

Thanks for the super fast shipping.

They're not flash to pass light. D1S HID Systems ignite fast enough that all high and low beam functions come from the HID unit w/o accessory halogen high beam lights. The cornering assist lamps on the Adaptive Bi-Xenon illuminate boths sides with reverse engaged, and at speeds below 35mph when the steering wheel is turned more than 30 degrees, or when the turn signal is activated. They will also turn off if the turn signal is on but the vehicle becomes stationary for more than 5 seconds. They only function with the light switch in the Auto Position.

This. They are not flash to pass, only cornering lights.
