Question Cool Runnings?

I pickup up my 335I in November. Great ride when warmed up, however. It has had a cold idle problem since new. An annoying surge/hesitation/hiccup for the first 15 minute of driving.
I just picked the car up from service ( after 3 days ) to reprogram & repair the problem. This morning at 35 degrees I pulled out to head to work and it damn near gave me whiplash!
Not only is it not fixed, it is worse. If anyone has a correction for this flaw in an otherwise perfect car, I'm all ears.

I have a little of that. I just take it easy on the throttle for that reason. Although... sometimes taking it too easy just right... HICCUP! I got my car Dec 28th.

That should normaly lasts for 30seconds to a minute maxmum.

When the engine is cold you should wait for something like 30 seconds until the revs to drop from 1200-1400 to 600-800. Dont move your car until then. When the revs drops to 600, you can start moving...

If you say that this lasts more than this ,you should definitely have a problem.

Never had any of those issues with my VW Turbo... Must be all that power in the 335...
But I'll wait for M3.

the engine managment pulls some fancy stuff with the injection, valve and ignition timing when it is cold in order to heat up the catalists quickly. Basically it puts burning petrol down the exhaust. i imagine this makes the engine run a but rough. If i recall it only does it untill the cats reach a certain temp, then it moves on to a more normal cold running setup.

C'mon man..... have a little respect. He died a few years ago.

Could very well have been the weight though.

I have a 335i AT. When its cold outside I have the same problem. I now drive in sport mode when I start off. After the engine gets a little warm I have no problem in either mode. This helped me.
