Newbie to the BMW Club
Just thought I would introduce myself since I've been lurking for a while
My name is Tut and and I am from the ATL. I am 37 and have been involved with car clubs most of my life. I was a member of the S2000 club here in Atlanta for the past 8 years before buying two new BMW's in two weeks. They are both my first BMW's and now I understand what all the fuss is about. I went with a friend to pick up his BMW X5 from Spartanburg last December and got to participate in the performance center delivery. I soon put the order in for my X5, which my wife mostly drives. They are all my cars and she understands that My daily driver was a 2008 Infiniti M35 Sport and I just felt left out after she was rolling in the BMW. So, less than two after picking up our X5 from Spartanburg, and being thrown the keys to the M3 for the performance center delivery… I decided I needed one too. For daily driving purposes and modability I decided on the 335i. It is a great car and I am enjoying it tremendously. I am looking forward to getting out some events and hopefully meeting some peeps. I live in the Woodstock area. Let me know when and where you guys meet! A couple pics of my S2K that was custom painted BMW stratus gray metallic. I invested a lot of time and money into her and I am anxious to start all over again! |

If you put that level of effort into the 3-er, I'm stoked to see the results

Welcome man, nice M-Sport.
Very nice underhood work on the S2K... what did you put down? It must have been a blast to drive. -Walter

342 RWHP @ 8lbs boost, aftercooler, 550cc injectors, Greddy eManage 363 RWHP @ 10lbs with moderate tune I upped the rear gears from 4.11 to 4.57 It was a blast to drive, especially with the 9K redline, though I really like having torque again. I have already bought a JB3 for the 335 from a friend for $300. I will run that for a while until I can buy the Procede. I need to get a baseline dyno run. |

Welcome....
The 335 is my first BMW also....so far so good I've gone the custom tune route and am very happy so far. I just wanted the in town support since I'm not as hands on as some here, plus it is my first BMW so I had no idea about anything. Have fun with the car it's a blast to drive especially with a little extra boost Cheers Todd

Wow, 340-360rwhp on that little roadster... impressive...
We've done dyno days at DynoLab in Marietta as well as TopSpeed. I strongly encourage you to get your baseline numbers before doing anything to the car. Let us know when you plan on going, perhaps we can do another dyno day and hangout! Ciao. -Walter

Welcome! Nice choice in colors. I prefer Sparkling Graphite Metallic, myself, but still in the grey corner. I almost bought a Honda S2K, but opted on another vehicle before I got my e90 335i, also my first BMW. Never looked back.
Enjoy your rides and welcome to the club!

Thanks guys! I am a sucker for grays also, sparkling graphite is HAWT The S2K is a fantastic car, but after driving the BMW I can honestly say that I really don't miss it as much as I thought I would. I miss all the time and effort I put into in building it more. Lets the mods begin. I just installed painted reflectors yesterday… those amber beasts are gone
Dynolab sounds like a great idea. I 'll put it out there and see if I can head out there in the next couple of weeks for a baseline. Let you know. |
