Angry E90 320d Power Loss - Help

Hi,

I have just bought a new 320d Sport, and been experiencing intermittent power loss. It seems to happen after I have driven for a while stop the car and then start it again soon after. It's not complete power loss, it just crawls to 3000rpm and then takes of after that. If I stop the car and leave it for 40mins or so the problem is resolved. The dealer has replaced the turbo and camshaft sensor but still has not resolved the problem.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks
Andrew

I remember there being a fault with the valve (don't know which valve) on some cars. Mine never had it, but I knew someone who did. Unfortunately, I lost the emails when my computer crashed a while back...

BMW is pretty good. I'd recommend Lyndhurst Auto or JSN if you are in JHB...tell them the problem and talk it over with a service advisor. If you can get it to happen on command, show them!

Good luck!

I had the same problem. A quick visit to the dealer and an over night stay in the workshop while they fitted a new turbo(warranty) sorted the problem.

This was the orignal reason why the turbo was replaced, and that was just over a month ago? I get the feeling it has something to do with heat? but not sure
