Help choosing wheels

Hi all

new to this forum, I ordered a Feb. production E92 335i last month, and I have till thursday to change the order

right now I got Montego blue/Black dakota/Alum

I had the style 230 wheels but I dropped into a dealership yesterday and saw those wheels in person

they look great....but those tires, never saw such a low profile!

I called my SA and told him to modify the order back to style 189...

but now I am ripped apart, the wheels look so nice but will I bend them driving the car here? are the roads OK in Ontario to drive with such low profiles?

advice/help apreciated!

cheers

no problems whatsoever...just dont hit potholes straight on going weely weely fast...cause then any wheel will bend...they will be fine for daily driving. just take care and you will be ok. curbing and other stuff is not considered as daily driving

p.s. my e90 is on 20's so thats low pro ive still got 4 straight wheels

I have to say that i got every option on my car but left out the 19" Style
230's.
First off my previous car 06' Infiniti m45 sport had 19" with low profile tires and it was hell. I'm in Montreal and the roads are terrible here.
And secondly after looking at them in the showroom on one of the cars i just found the 189's to be better looking.
I find that when you are driving the 230's look great but at a stanstill the
189's look much better.
Just my opinion.

Hey YYZguy, we've met already in previous threads in this forum. So this is a formal hello............hello.

I had the same concern as you, however i will stick with the 230's. Personally i think the wheels look better because of the aggressive profile of the wheel. Reason I'm sticking with the 19' is that the handling capabilities will be slightly better. I've also considered the ride will be a bit rougher, but thats something I just don't mind. Durability imo is really not a huge factor, as long as one steers around the pot holes.

It boils down to personal preference: 19's more performance/18's more durability/ 17's winter
