Got a exhaunst/intake deal

from SCR tuning in Littleton Colorado and they said theyd due a aFe CAI with Magnaflow exhaust (catback) for 1,200. But....labors 94$ a hour. They said they wouldnt charge for more than two hours, if it took em that.

so they are going to put an aFe in the car, and then slap a 150$ magnaflow muffler on it, and charge you 1200 for all that?

thats crazy.

If they are doing the actual magnaflow system, Part# 16539 then its not a bad rate.

It does seem like you are being over charged for the install. I would stay away!

SCR is a joke for this kind of work. They usually specialize in older M cars and track builds.

For what you are looking to do if you don't want to do what I suggested before, you can take it to MAC in Parker or Peak Eurosport. They won't rip you a new asshole in cost like SCR will. Even better, contact Andrew at AR design. He's local and on the board and would probably cut you a good deal.

Like I've said before, if you want a custom exhaust setup, take it to a muffler shop or midas and tell them what you want. They warranty their work and will fix any issues that may arise. If you don't trust the people down in CS I have a buddy that works at the Midas off of County Line and Holly in Lonetree by the name of Zach. He could very easily do what you need and is very knowledgeable with European cars.

The AFE intake install is extremely simple to do. You could do it yourself in less than half an hour.
