2008 e90 sedan actual has no angel eyes?

My buddy brought his car over and we noticed the car doesn't even have the yellowish oem angel eyes! Can this car be ordered without?

What have you guys done in terms of aftermarket headlights or use LED's for halos?

If it doesn't have HIDs then it won't have angels

If it's a 328i (which it has to be for a 2008 model year), they don't come standard with angel eyes. They just have regular halogen headlamps. The only way to have angel eyes from the factory would have been to order HID's. From 2009 on though the halogens have angel eye rings.

yeah I think they should make that a BMW trademark, meaning ANY car they produce should come with Halos/angel eyes.

And it sounds like in 09 they did just that.

PS there are a some great vendors on this site that can hook your friend up with some lighting options so check them out.

That has nothing to do with it, as others said up to 08 you have to order Xenons in order to get the halos. From 09 on the halos are standard but if you don't have hids the halos will not be used for daytime lights and the front turn signal will not be LEDS. I think Xenons are a must on any BMW

Got it. When I got my 330i a year ago I was told it came with the Xenons because I had the premium package.

I am learning a few new things today that were told incorrectly to me when I purchased my vehicle.

This is completely correct. I'll just add that halogen lights on the 2009+ models don't give you DRL angels like the xenons. To get that effect, you have to turn off the standard DRLs and turn on the parking lights.

I have an 07 335i with xenons and when the lights aren't on, my halos aren't on. Turn the xenons on and tah-dah, halos on. My mom has an 08 335i with halos on regardless, but hers in an E92 while mine is an E90, don't know if that makes a difference though...

I have a 2007 e90 328i and it doesn't have the yellow OEM angel eyes either. Considering getting the halos.. seems like HID is a lot more popular

All E92s use the Halos as daytime running lights where only LCI E90s use the halos as daytime lights.

Only LCI E90s with xenons. Xenons are standard in all E92 models, and for the E90 335.
