Walked up on this sucker about 25 feet from where I park! I don't like killing animals.....but when its as serious as a Timber Rattle Snake, and we have pets outside, I didn't think twice. Not to mention it was so close to the house!

This happened to us. We live on a lake in South Eastern Louisiana. There was a water moccasin out down by our back porch and we have a small dog and an older large dog. My Grandpa got the shovel and killed that thing. YIKES!! Now if the damn gators would learn to stay away.

I would've blown that bugger up with fireworks.... that's about the most lethal thing I have other than an airsoft gun... and a samurai sword.... but I wouldn't want snake guts on mah good sword.

lol...yeah that machet is a beast. I used to be a land surveyor, which required a good blade for cutting through the woods. After going through many cheap ones, I bought ole bessie....#2 They're actually too hard of a metal...the first one I had broke in half when I hit an iron pipe hidden by a tree while in full swing....the dam blade went flipping and flying right down through my boot and into my lil piggy toe!!....the nail has never grown right since!
