9/11
Hey all, I know its the wrong section, but since this is more populated I wanted to post here.
Just take a few seconds today to pause and remember those who were murdered nine years ago today. They were ordinary people going about their daily lives on a flight, or in an office building. Remember those serving overseas, it might not be the popular thing, to be at war, but when we are over there we are trying to do our best to win friends and not make new enemies for our children to deal with. |

It's up to us to keep them alive. God bless America, and those defending our beautiful country.

Good post. I will also never, ever forget that day. A big thank you to all of those who have served or who are serving, and may the innocent victims rest in peace.

9/11 certainly changed my life. I was ops officer at the time and spent 3 weeks afterwards sifting through rubble and body parts. Since then I've been to afg twice and my wife is there now.

i remember like it was yesterday. everyone where i was just broke down. it all happened so slowly and it was like stabbing myself in the heart.
i still have the newspaper from the next day. no joke, i read every page and stared at every picture. once i finished it, i would read it over and over again. i couldn't believe it. justice shall be served to those responsible for these cowardly acts against life. think about the FAMILIES of these people whose lives will never be the same. imagine this mans family. this is a very sensitive image. if you get upset at me, i'm not responsible. but the fact is, NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD HAVE TO DO THIS. imagine being in that situation. what would you think about? i thought this could NEVER happen to me. it can happen to ANYONE. http://www.esquire.com/cm/esquire/im...lingman-lg.jpg |

9/11 changed my life as well. Since that day I have had absolutely no tolerance for religion.

Let's please keep the personal opinions regarding religious views out of this, and concentrate on the indisputable tragedy that occurred.
I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard the first plane hit, as well as the rest of that day. RIP to the fallen and my condolences to anyone who lost someone close that day. May America soldier on. This was aired once 9/11/2002, which I found to be a very moving and tasteful tribute on Budweiser's part [u2b]xoxxix0QQdU&feature=player_embedded[/u2b] |

Shortly after the events of 9/11 I remember thinking 'I'm glad my Grandmother didn't live long enough to experience this day' it is a little strange to me even to read the words that I just wrote, because I am certainly not glad that she died, but that is one thing that I remember about that day (she died earlier that summer).
