535 Gas Mileage Sticker
In the past few months, I had noticed that the reported Gas Mileage (Window Sticker) on the Automatic equipped 535i's indicated 20 City, 29 Highway.
Walking a lot on Sunday however I noticed that the sticker now indicates 20 City, 30 Highway. It was a 535i Automatic like the others. Anybody else seen this new sticker? By no means am I complaining, just sort of curious to what the background is to the change. Additional testing maybe? |

haha I believe you right, I think it was pretty good but the needle will move real time when I get on it. The range has adjusted over time thought when I first picked it up it was much lower then a full tank reflects now.

I have a 535i. With over 3k miles so far, I have gotten between 33 and 34 MPG on highway. This is a calculated mileage, miles traveled/gal to fill over several measurements. The computer calculates the same increments about 1 to 1.5 MPG higher. Very satisfied.

Fueleconomy.gov lists the 535i automatic at 30mpg highway which would be the current official EPA rating.I do recall having seen something a month or two ago (a sticker,IIRC) which listed such a vehicle at 29mpg.

I'm right there with you. . . . I test drove a 550i dealer demo that didn't have a window sticker, ordered mine without ever knowing what the numbers were. I did hope/expect they were going to be better than my 08 X5 4.8
