I just upgraded my 30 gig video ipod to a shiny black 80 gig one (I'd already filled up the old one).

To keep it shiny I bought one of these a protective rubber jackets from PC world:

Now the amazing bit ... I have discovered that once the ipod is in this thing it will sit happily on the centre console - above the ashtray - plugged in via my monster charger.

More importantly it WILL NOT slip or move about AT ALL - even when cornering REALLY hard.

So if I want to be able to reach my ipod I just pull it out of the arm rest and leave it here while driving.



If I don't need to mess with it I can still leave it in the armrest.

Sounds simple, but it is really ideal !

Those rubbery sleeves really are excellent - defo keep your iPod from slipping about and you can keep em on permanently - still look stylish too!

If you can't find the Belkin ones the iSkins work just as well.
