when does new F30 F32 3-series arrive?

I would have predicted 2011 (around June) since the e90 came out in 2006. Refereshed in 2009. Just curious. Had ruled out a 335i based on the inkling the car would be outdated next June.. But is that the case?

From what I read, not until 2012

When will next 3 series be out?

Is it coming out in 2011 or 2012?

just curious... i just read on this board 2013. but that makes no sense...is it going to be a 2013?

Anyone who knows for sure won't tell publicly, but late 2011 and spring 2012 are the two rumors you see most often.

It seems from all the marketing hype and flogging of the new 5 series, that they are using it as a flagship for a lot of their new technology. As much as your logic makes sense, they are probably hoping that a lot of 3 drivers buy the new 5, so are delaying out the 3 until next year (perhaps to ensure all the bugs are out as well. I'm assuming BMW sells way more 3's than 5's....)

Scott26 has confirmed geneva 2012 launch. So summer 2012 is likely for USA.
2013 for the coupe and 2014 for M3.

It is still leading the class (although audi is catching up), they also have a whole bunch of new models for 2012 (X1, M5), furthermore they have recently facelifted E92/E93 and offered BMW connected for E9x models. I don't think a new F30 will be offered in 2011 at least in US, early 2012 is more likely. This maintains the 7-yr life cycle for 3-series.

the wait is terrible, let alone the next M3 not having a NA motor (and without 8 cylinders), but im sure it will all be worth it in the end

ill be an old man by the time the m3 comes out. lol. i hope the next m3 will live up to its legacy. worst case scenario would be that i waited 4-5yrs for the m3 to come out, and then its not as good as the current m3.

with my luck, theres a high probability of that happening

Agree, and this would be consistent with past BMW seven year cycles where typically the new models would be released in early spring in Europe and early summer in USA (e.g. March/April 2012 and June 2012 for 2013 models). There have been strong rumors that BMW is planning on shortening their seven year cycle to six or maybe even five years, but if that happens, it won't be until after F30 launch.

now i can save up and get my 2012 M3, might be the last year of NA engine. i would rather have a V8 for that engine growl. One complaint about the new Audi S4 is that it lost its growl, although performance numbers are similar between the NA V8 and SC V6. i expect M3 to compare that scenario

I've had similar thoughts, though I would expect the new M3 to be slightly faster, hopefully slightly lighter, and obviously much more tunable. I think those things could make it a very exciting car.

I had to rule out the current M3 based solely on MPGs. The cost of the car is not as big a factor. Hopefully the next M3 bridges the gap a little between the next model down in terms of fuel efficiency. 14/20 is quite awful even when you compare it to a full size SUV and I just couldn't live with the guilt given I have 2 kids.
