F10 delivered
Ordered my 535d M Sport on Thursday 12th August and got it today
Left Aberdeen at noon and did a gentle 50 miles at varying speeds, whilst keeping it below 2,500 RPM - obviously loads more where that came from, but I'm not going to start opening up until I've done at least 1,000 miles. Car now washed, dried and in the garage ready for an early morning start with the 'Werkstat'; wheels coming off too for a coating of 'Poorboys' sealant - pictures to follow when I'm done. Naturally I can't give any detailed opinions after such a short journey on a typically 'driech' Scottish day, but I'm very impressed so far and having driven over a good selection of surfaces, I'm extremely glad that I went for the adaptive drive - significant and very noticeable differences between the modes. Comfort seats excellent too with side bolsters as good as those on my E92; trouble is that there's so many adjustments - it'll take me a while to get it 'just right'. More later... |

Even though I'm taking it easy for for the first 1K miles, I can really feel the power difference. Apart from that, there's also increased MPG - go on, you know it makes sense! |

I have the standard M Sport 18's mainly because I didn't like the look of the optional 19's, I'll see how I go, but might upgrade to the 281 style 'V' spoke 19" or even 20" after the forthcoming Scottish winter! |

Absolutely not - check for opinions on this at: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php and other similar forums. The consensus is that it's a rip-off, especially if you're prepared to polish the car yourself.
This was confirmed by several local paint finishers and detailers, especially Polished Bliss at Kintore - they know what they're talking about, give friendly advice and don't try to flog you the most expensive stuff on the shelf; have a look at their site: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/ |

Dingolfling to Aberdeen is 2,050 Km plus getting over or under the Channel, whereas Dingolfling to Vienna is a simple road trip of 370 Km. Makes perfect sense to me - thank you Strasbourg |

Congrats on the car!!
I'm sure you'll fall even more in love with your baby the more you drive it. Waiting for nice weather up there on scotland before you take the pics?? dude we need pics sometime this year. I agree there is no point looking at mileage so early. It takes a few hundred miles before the engine settles down on a decent mileage. Enjoy tour new ride. |
