I would doubt it.
I can't see an M car be AWD at the moment.

BMW's AWD system isn't nearly as good as say Mitsu's, Audi's or Subi's.
When a Sports car has an adjustable biased AWD system, like the new Subi's, I'd get it.
On that system, you can dial up to 80% of the power to the rear and lock it in.....
Talk about killer track set up....

Got Understeer ? put more power to the rear and throttle steer..
Oversteer ? put more to the fronts, to pull you through....

Personally, I had 3 Audi's in a row......
RWD for me please......

But then again, So Cal isn't all that snowy/rainy.....

BMW has never had an all-wheel drive M, and I doubt they would do it. As great as it can be when done right, the classic rear wheel drive setup has its own benefits in terms of steering feel, lower weight, balance and fun. I have heard no rumblings of the possiblity.

As far as debut, Frankfurt in September would be about right, but it's only held every other year so none this year. I'm sure BMW is going to keep this as close to their vest as possible.

Where is the BMW facility where you can take the tours? Obviously Bavaria, but which city, Munich?

I agree there has never been an all wheel M, there will and has been all wheel on other models

With the M division going in the weight saving direction, I doubt introducing the x-drive or similar AWD system will make it to the e92 M3.
