MSRP on 2008 M3 Sedan ?

It's going to be $54,800. You heard it here first folks.

FYI: This is just an estimate. I have no concrete data to back it up.

Predictions are always fun to make. WHen prices are finally released you can go back and see how accurate you were. If you hit it spot on, I think you'd owe it to yourself to run to your dealer and plop down a nice healthy deposit

That's the plan. Assuming everything goes right, I should be driving a new M3 Sedan in 16 to 18 months.

How soon after the coupes release are you expecting the M sedan. BMW normally releases a sedan then a coupe (5 series then 6 series/ M5 then M6). The M3 we all assume is going to be different being the coupe coming first. How long after the coupes release do you expect to the M3 sedan. I have placed my deposit on a M3 coupe already but doubt seriously if I will see it until August-September-ish of next year (about year after the E90 coupes are released).
I could be way off, but doesn't BMW usually release their cars in year intervals. Last year the 3 series sedan, this year the coupe same with the 5 and 6 series and their M counterparts.

These are 'insider' rumors, so take them with a grain of salt.

The first M3 Mule built was a sedan, fwtw........
I know someone that drove it, well over a year ago.

They will launch together or within 2-3 months of each, tops.

Thanks Kujo for the insight. If that is indeed the case, I will have to tell my friend to get off his culo and put his deposit down. He has a wife and 2 children so an M3 Coupe would be impractical for him, he was looking at an S4 avant.

S4's are a beautiful, fun car.
I owned two of them in the past two years.
it's a heavy car though.
I'd say this, with all my Audi past...

Audi is a good, quick, fun, cruiser or sorts.
You want a 'drivers' car ? buy the BMW.

I need 4 doors and that's why I didn't buy an e46 M3.
But, I ended up with a BMW anyway.....

Just awaiting the sedan M3 myself.

I equally think it would at least be in the lower $60k's. A 335 loaded is going to be almost that, and they usually keep about a $10k difference between the step up to M.

Also factor in the strength of the euro and weakness of the dollar and the U.S. price can go no way but higher.

The base price is going to be mid 50s. BMW isn't stupid. Look at the pricing increase on the M5 and look at the pricing difference between the E36 and E46. Mid 50s is where it's going to be. Now with options the car will easily hit 65-70K if you load it up (SMG, PP, NAV, etc).

But, I for one am not interested in loading it up. Whether you spend almost 70k on a loaded one or 55k on a basic one, it's still an M3.

Can you say 75K

My best bud had a 99' M3 that was fully optioned for 45k. I had an 02' SMG
M3 coupe w/19's all options for 60k. That's a 15k diff. My bet is the new M will be between 73-75k w/all options. The E39 M5 listed for 73k w/all options and a 400HP motor. This car will have at least that much and is obviously much newer in design. Not to mention the Audi RS4 is 73k.

Could it be lower? Sure, maybe 70k fully loaded but I doubt it. Again the E39 was 73k, the new M5 w/all options is around 90k again about 15k diff. The current M3 cab is 65k alone, would one really expect a brand NEW model with almost a 100HP more and all the new changes to be just 5k more? No way...

Sorry to break anybody's heart.......

Time to take out a new equity loan.......

I agree! with the RS4 released now, I called the dealer to price it.
RS4 start at $75k so, the M3 will be comparable to that!

yeah that's right, it cant be 55k. BMW will not price it under the Audi that much. maybe the rumour is just to make RS buyers on hold and everyone put down the deposit??

Trust me, it's going to be around 55, look at the pricing of the following cars. E36 M3, E39 M5, E60 M5. Now, when you go to the lot, most cars will probably cost low-mid 60s. But you don't have to buy one with all that stuff. The M5 was almost 10k less than the RS6 back in 03 (base against base).

55k still a little low- try 59k for base. E46 M3 base is 48-49k, no way its just
5k more for a mind blowing V8 with the new ZSG trans. Nope, not gonna happen, not 55k- not unless you buy it without the wheels...

Sorry man but that's inflation.........just look at gas and interest rates- it's all goin up.

It's coming standard with a 6 speed manual.

55k

That's great- just don't be surprised when it comes in 5k higher than you may want. I could always lend you the extra cash at a reduced interest rate.......................
