I think it should be pretty straight forward like installing mtech sides.

its pretty straight forward.
remove sills, take off all clips, undo the screws in the front and back wheel well, and the ones under the skirt, pull off and just do the reverse to put everything back on.

If they're OEM M3 skirts, I don't think they'll fit. IIRC, someone said they're too short or too long.

m3 sideskirts are not a direct fit. at one point long had some modified to fit. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=300374
