Depends on the stock wheels

Not liking the split 10 spokes so for. So I hope those are not the stock wheels. If I go aftermarket have been eyeing Maya and iforged.

You can get iforged wheels with gold centers as well, which you seem to like (saw you mention them in more than one post) ... A silver grey car with matching or slightly darker centers for me.

I like a bit of lip but the wheel on the right has way too much, too gangsta/SUV/limo looking, still with the right amount a lip a very nice wheel. This was the only pic I could find with the center color I liked...

Why waste money on rims? I would rather not draw the attention.

IMHO, the original rims would be the best and most beautifull, no aftermarket junk to my brandnew E92 M3. Size; 19 or 20", they should do the job perfectly.........................................

I think It gives little kick to the M3.
I love to rock nice sneakers for my feet and nice rimes for my M3. That's just my style but I like to look little different from other.
Stock is just too normal for me, how many other M3 I am going to see that's are same? I am not saying I want to look like drug dealers but..........how I am i going to find my M3 in parking lots?

Yeah, but I am already saving cash toward FI for the car...so I think that saving the money and swapping over my old wheels, which are very beautiful still would be a smarter option. But those iForged wheels are very nice...whats the weight compared to the LMs?

1: I wouldn't hold your breath on FI. If the engine is a V10 deravitive, the its likely to inherit the 12:1 compression which will not be FI friendly unless you are planning on rebuilding the bottom end.

2: We have no idea what the offsets or backspacing on the new wheels will be. You old wheels may not fit.

Stock wheel are often great. I still have stock "Motorsport" wheels on my 95 E36 M3 and love em. Many cars I would not change stock wheels. However, like I said, what looks like it may be the production wheel is pretty hideous. I do have faith in BMW though. Only time will tell.

3. I definitely have never done anything half-assed, so if I do go Fi i will get some lower comp pistons/head gasket.

But I still am debating whether to spend $15K+ FI, or spend that toward going super high comp N/A moster. I dunno... we'll see what the checkbook looks like at the time, and how fast it is out the box. Because, the E46 M3 is a tad sluggish in stock form (- the CSL)

BBS RS-GT: light (19" roughly 20 lbs. +/-), strong, and understated; plus BBS heritage. No bling bling for me.

Whatever beautiful new rim designs BMW will put them out with will be fine for me. I have always hated the bling-bling look of 95% of third party wheels, and I'm very satisfied with BMW's M wheels especially, since they're built from lighter materials and optimized for the M cars, means less unsprung mass, and we all know what that means for the handling.

Best regards,

Jussi

Agree with the look of most of the wheels people put on cars. Whenever I see a car thats lowered with some flashy aftermarket wheels on it I lose a lot of respect for the owners. Its a sign you care a lot more about looks than actual driving.

BMW wheels are typically heavy. Good aftermarket wheels will reduce the unsprung weight. However, these are not the ones you typically see on cars.

The track wheels I ran on my m3 used to weigh about 10lb less than the stock ones. However, they were also prone to bending as a result and I destroyed a few curb hopping at the track.
